You've already identified the main issues on the IV, crankwalk and AYC (though AYC is an issue on all AYC-equipped evos). A faulty AYC pump will cost around £300-£500 to fix. Crankwalk is going to cost more to repair and what a lot of IV owners do is fit engines from later evos as a way of fending it off, and obviously that won't be cheap either. If you're on a budget then you might be better waiting until you can get a V or VI.
