thought ide join up as been reading up a lot of info and this site was very helpfull,

i bought a evo 8 fq-300 yesterday, and must say, what a car, it does have a few faults, but price was good, it has the dredded 3 lights on, so been going mad reading up on that, slowley getting there, cleaned all plugs and still same, so prob new pump.
had a few scoobys in the past, and a evo 2, but very happy with this,

my new toy (i'll put up a better pic soon)

hi mate and welcome to the forum! you can send your pump off to get it rebuilt or do it yourself,there is a video on you tube to show how its done and there is a fella on here that sell the rebuild kits.
anyways nice looking e8 and hope to see you around in the future meets/shows.. ;)

just a quick one, i did the fault code thing earlyer, wire in pin 1 and earthed, light just flashed fast, am i right in thinking this is no fault, just wanted to check i was doing it right

i can never remember which pins are meant to be bridge.. i think its 1 and 4 but someone will clarify this on here... ;) but i would stick in on a computer... there is a couple of lads on here that can do that.. where a bouts are you?

That's right, as mart said you need to bridge pins 1&4 then turn ignition on and count the flashes.
Slow flash 10's fast ones are units :)

You'll probably have code 82

the pipe's are being a right pain in the ars to get off, so given up, try again tomorrow, lol

there must be somewhere where i can buy a re-coned pump, don't want the hassle of fixing mine at mo, just wanna take off and and re-fit
