Hey, my name is Ashley (if you haven't worked that out ;) ) and I am from Cambridge :) oh and I am 22.

My dream is to own an evo and I am getting closer to getting it. I currently drive an Astra 1.8 2007 :) I am aiming to have one before I turn 23 in nov or just after but definitely before Christmas!

But I don't know the differences...

I know GSR is the top luxury spec with air con etc. And MR is the race spec....but what is FQ and any others I missed?

Also, I am new to buying cars will a car showroom let me take one for a drive?

Secondly what's the best one for around 10k? I know this may spark off a big debate but I want performance and a little comfort, air con would be nice :) i don't mind lower spec if it can be 'unlocked' as nothing ever stays standard in my hands ;)

That's all from me for now, cya :)

Hi and welcome. With your budget I'd say go for a good Tommi Makinen Edition (Evo 6) as they are the best at holding value. The other would be to get an evo 8 fq300 or a gsr 260. The 260 can get easily be tuned upto around 360hp :)

RS is a lightweight version, If you do a search, there is a link on the sight which describes all the different models and there differences.

Awesome cheers! The tommi one seems a little too rare. But I like the sound of the RSX or extreme models. Or if I can get a GSR 260 and bump to 360 easy then that is definitely an option!

Welcome along matey I assume your a he and not a she, I apologise if its the later.
As already said go for a Tommi in red ad they are the best at holding value. If you want a later model then an 8 or 9 mr would be the one to go for

Hiya and welcome along :) I would say 8 mr but that's cos I want one :D but the 6's are just as nice, and the gsr have air con for a fraction of ur budget which leaves u with plenty of spends to do it up :) but take ur time and look around before u buy, also this site has a few for sale.
