hi and welcome 2 the site

not loads of stuff to look out 4 but make sure when u go look at 1 make sure the engine is cold and not been started. check fluids oil ayc(in boot drivers side) water, when startin lisern for any knocks and bangs look 2 see if the smoke is clean, then ask for a test drive lisern for any whines or clunks from the diffs and ayc.

what evo are you thinking of ?
i have a 4 gsr in white that pleases me over the white dc2 which i still own.
if you want to increase bhp easily then maybe a 5 or 6 would be best but you have a wide choice of evo's so dont rush . . .

hi and welcome.just for future refrence quakes the ayc fluid on the newer evos is on the passenger side. on a test drive the main thing to look out for is cars infront of you cos youll be in their boot in seconds lol.def think about the power mods,i said that 340bhp would be more than enough for me but ive had it 2yrs now and i want more, you get used to it quicker than youd think.happy hunting anyway, hope you find what you want

hi mate and welcome

the ayc on the 4,5,6 is drivers side... you will find it no problem when you look anyway.

good luck finding the one you want!!

Hello and welcome, check the rear end for rust, chassis sections from boot floor forward, around rear diff mount and also fuel filler pipe. Have fun looking.

Welcome linglong. I see it's been a couple of months since you last checked in! Have you had enough already and decided not to go for an Evo?

Hi and welcome.

I used to have an dc2 fully loaded (spoon goodies)
Thought I'd miss it loads but once I got my evo never looked back,
One thing I will say is when ur searching for faults make sure you switch the ignition on and check all the dash lights!!!
Best off luck

Another thing to remember is make sure you get on a dual carriageway with a decent speed limit so you can make sure the turbo is kicking in and also the timing is right. Make sure it boost smoothly with no boost cut or hesitations. The dodgy traders will only take you on a quick straight road and back and in that time you will not notice much (I know, I got stung with this in the past)!! Had to get the timing all set up as it was miles out and the balance shaft belt was also out and caused the car to vibrate like mad!
