help with ticking

Can using a thinner oil cause a ticking noice as if its tappets car was use to 15w50 a swapped to 5w40 and a get a ticking noice all the time cold and hot goes faster with more accelerated and sound if its coming from the intake manifold

i think most of us run 5/40 dont we? i no every evo ive had ive always ran that.

could be just coming from the injectors m8?

So do you think change injectors or try a new oil change ? Or is there a way without changing anything?

Not sure if you have sorted this now but I used to get a ticking noise if I changed the oil when it was flat cold, but if I got the oil warmed up a bit first before dropping it I found it solved the problem. Not sure why, but worked every time for me.
