Thinking of getting a year 2000 evo6 from my local garage where I have bought my last 3 cars from 2 mercs & an imprezza. My concern is, the engine it has over 89,000mls & has had 7 previous owners but it has got fsh & mots + ralliart uk car not an import, it drives well lovely gearbox it has just had new clutch & fly wheel + cambelt/service paid for by the garage. There is a knocking from the backend which they said they will sort out. It is up for £7995. Hpi cleared. I am very keen, but do I need to worry about the engine with this mileage?
Thanks for any advice on this.

Welcome!
The milage is getting on a bit but its still nowhere near dead. if its properly maintained there will be 50k plus left it in yet. It sounds like its got a lot of history with it so that is a plus. The price is about right for a nice clean example, maybe a tiny tiny bit high if you are worried about the mileage and amount of owners. Id say if everything else checks out and it is a nice as you say use the mileage for a bit of haggling and get your self a nice motor at a good price.
