Hi guys, well I just got my new Turbosmart Dual Port Valve and I installed it today but I've noticed the car started stalling and running rich.

Can someone help me sort this out? Because I already run with this problem with an HKS SSQVIII and I finally solved it reusing my oem bov even not having to recirculate my car was running pretty good and with no idle, running rich, backfiring whatsoever.

So what I want to know is if someone can help me setting it up to try avoid those problem or at least reducing them to the minimum?

My car is stock IV, hasnt been tuned or mapped but runs 1.3bar.

The loosen the spring the better? Because Im trying on the hard side and Im getting the problems I've mentioned.

I have it 50/50 Ventilated/Recirc

Thank you very much

Loosen it and keep trying until you find the right setting mate. It takes a while but you should be ok.

Thank you very much Dave. In the instructions say to start testing the looser possible and then start turning it to the hard side. But wouldnt it just the better the loosiest possible?

You can try the lower setting first mate and gradually tightening it to the point where the car does not stall. That would be the "sweet spot". :)

I'll try that... In that case wouldnt it just be best to have it just the hardest possible? Is the fluttering sound in the intake any good? or bad?

It looks ok mate. Just set to lowest setting first then slowly tighten as you rev the car after each turn and once the car stops stalling when reaching idle, then that is the correct setting. Also make sure the piston moves to close before your car reaches the set idle when you rev it. :)

Thanks mate. I'll start from the softest position then. Because from where Im having it I smell its running rich. see my gas gauge drop quite fast... and its stalling on heavy breaking to 0 :(
