help oil filter question

had all service kit today so i can do an oil change, well just took oil filter off only to find the new one is shorter

i got the kit off opie oils for an evo 5 and ive been supplied with a mahle oil filter code oc 230

looking at the code on the net this is for an evo 8 engine would i be ok to use this oil filter? even though its shorter than the one i took off my 5 as im having the car mapped first thing in the morning and its half in and out the garage and need to get this service done

Its fine. Though i only put Mitsi filters on my car nowt else.

i usually use genuine filters but was to short notice to get one today so ordered one with all the oils yesterday to save me time, ill go ahead and fit it all now then thanks
