Yes!!

I've found the issue and fixed it straight away...

You wont believe what it was either...

Bloody rivets holding on the baffles inside the valve cover had give way, and one of the baffles got badly chewed up by the spinning cams.

I got all the shit out with a magnet... car now runs fine.

Will carryout an oil and filter change tomoz along with a oil cooler flush and I'll clean out the sump.

Lucky boy me thinks :D

Ooh that's a mess. Hope this doesn't cause any problems later on

Yeah hopefully it wont. I think I've accounted for all the bits of metal. Gonna fit a magnetic sump plug and do a few frequent oil changes to start with.

its prob worth dropping oil pan off and giving it a good clean, time spent now could save you some cash

Yeah I'm gonna do that on the weekend. Whats the best stuff to use to flush out my oil cooler? I don't wanna buy a new one as I've just bought this one a few months ago from Mocal.

Finding every single fragment will be a nightmare.
Petrol diesel mix is good for cleaning. Also paraffin :)

KFC Krushems, Oreo flavour works best in my experience :)

How did you manage to get the debris out from inside the springs and under the buckets? Did you take cams out?

Where did the rivet heads go?
