HELP! Evo dead?

Someone i know purchased his 1st Jap car yesterday, its the evo 4 GRS model on a P reg, got a few engine mods, cams, filter etc

Drove it home from lancashire to yorkshire and all drove round all lastnight, car was fine, pulls very good, no temp rising.. Runs abit rough due to cams and was slighty burnin oil but nothing major

Well last night he was coming home goin up a slight hill over a speed bump and the car just cut out and died, no strange noises or misfires etc, just died... Then we realised the temp was at the max gage and would not start again

1st we thought it may have been a cut out sensor to preserve the engine so left it to cool down and still wont start, wont start this morning either

Can hear the starter turning over and the exhaust a little but no attempt to start at all, battery just dies...

We seem to think head gasket has gone, but what other things may this cause??

Where in yorkshire you from? Who did you buy the car from?

Rotherham mate. Evo came from lancashire.. Think they sold it knowin it was on its way out but they say car was serviced n checked

Was it a trade sale or private?

If it was trade I would just take it back and try and get your money back.
