Driving on motorway the other night, I put the boot down and got nothing, just a few splutters, tried again and it was fine, an hour later it started hesitating and spluttering again. Got it home under very light throttle. Now it won't start. If I turn the battery on and off the throttle body clicks and buzzes like it should, I have the back seat out so I can hear the fuel pump but there are no noises from it at all. Should the fuel pump make a noise with the battery turned on and are there fuel pump relays I can check, cheers.

Got it fixed, auto electrician said he had done loads of them. It was the connector block behind the passenger side kick panel had gone into meltdown because apparently all Evo's let water in here and just about every circuit in the car goes through this connector, so be aware everyone especially in this wet weather, if your car electrics start to go nuts then this is where to look. He had to cut and solder almost every wire. I was thinking Relays, fuel pump, dirty fuel, fuses the list goes on. Hope this helps anyone with similar problems. Cheers
