help.back wheels started locking up on the drive when turning the steering wheel last thursday.Took the car to local dealership and after disconecting the ayc pump which still allowed the back wheels to lock up,then drained the diff oil which was black after only being changed 4 days previous,i was then led to believe the rear diff had failed. The diff was changed and after a short test drive the rear wheels are starting to lock again.I have now been told it might be the transfer box.The cost of all this is getting out of control can any one help. cheers, daron

Hi buddy and welcome to the forum.

Sorry to hear it is under such circumstances though!

From what you have described in the first sentence, I would have to say that the car was and is still experiencing dif lock.

Where did you get the rear dif from as this is a vital point???

It is a case of change the transfer box I am afraid to say buddy.

These things do happen and it is the only logical next step in the process.

I would be very much surprised if that does not cure the car.

Let us know how you get on.

Ok,
I presume that you are on about John?

If that is the case then I know there is nothing wrong with the dif he has supplied you.

Where is the car right now???
