Hey all, name is Caleb. From Canada. We can now get Evo Iv's into the country and am looking at one of maybe 4 in the country at the moment.

Looking forward to learning a lot on here from everyone.

If anyone has any tips for buying a IV I would appreciate it, have heard about crank walk issues and standard car issue. Vehicle has 80,000 on it but looks very clean. Any advice would be much appreciated.

Thanks!

Welcome from the uk !!

Think your the second member from across the pond :)

Crank walk is your main issue. Is that 80,000 miles or kilometres ?

Wow a whopping 2 members for Canada lol :D you can see why i'm here then. British friends across the pond ftw

it's 80,000km

I'm looking for signs/symptoms that I should be watching for with the vehicle. The import lot is very reputable, a friend bought an R33 Gtr last year and they have been very good to him with any issues [starter replaced and a couple other parts all for free/warranty].

I will search crank walk a little more to be a bit more educated on it but things to look for for the evo specific would be great. Is 80,000km vehicle susceptable to it or more in the higher end of the kms

I trust them, but have 0 experience with a car like this.

Thanks again and in advance for the help

80k seems good I owned a 4 and I never had any real trouble with it only had it 8 months though

Only thing I don't like on the 4s is the braking system cos it's crap

Welcome btw
