Hello fellow Evo owners

I was just wondering if you guys would be able to help me out I’m looking to buy an evo 9 FQ340 in red which my word looks amazing as originally I was going to get a Scooby but there so common and have this status that I don’t want. Now is there anything I would need to look out for and check as it does look like a very clean example and well looked after its being sold by NAS Performance has anyone else brought from them are they good to buy from.

Also I would like to ask the obvious question what is this car like to live with and drive everyday as I will be using this car as my daily drive I know the services intervals are something like every 5000 miles is that true? As I do that in a year or just a bit more and what are the performance figures like as in MPG with a relative heavy foot every now and then will this car come with a heavy fuel bill.

Any information would be much appreciated.

Cheers
Mark

Hello and welcome. Yes service intervals are about that or 12 months. I have an 8 fq as my daily drive and I live with it very well you can potter to the shops or hoon it round some lanes. Fuel wise well...... Sore subject but you don't buy it for its great economy, your looking around the 20mpg ish careful driving, and reds a good choice mate

Thanks for the info that has helped a lot and I take it the fuel economy is a very sore subject then, can I ask how often do you fill up as my current car a Fiesta ST does on average about 26mpg and a full tank lasts about a week and a half to 2 weeks if I’m driving it all the time, I know it’s not a car you buy for it economy as the reason I’m looking to get it because you just don’t seem them and I class them as a rare car and a driver’s car. But everything else money and cost wise is fine it’s all sorted and can live with it. Oh and can I ask what’s the service costs they pretty reasonable?

Cheers

Well ill be honest I recently moved and I'm doing about 15 miles a day to and from work and a bit in between and at weekends and I stick in 20 quid a week, that's my budget for the mo as its easy to get carried away with scenic routes here in Lincolnshire,

Not sure what the service costs are as Im a mechanic so have use of the workshop 24/7 so do everything myself

Welcome, ive not heard of the garage you have mentioned but do alot of research into it BEFORE you buy as ive heard plenty of stories where the car looked very clean but was just tarted up to sell, good luck.
