Just registered, so thought I would say hello.

We own a bit of a rare beast from the East, an Evo IX Wagon :) Had her since September, and totally standard apart from the Rota GTR wheels.

Had an Evo VIII before this, but needed something for the dogs so the Wagon was the perfect compromise of fun and practicality. Had two VR4's before the Evo's.

For a bit of fun we try and go to the Nurburgring once or twice a year (done 10 trips so far).

Member on the MLR of course, and Club VR4.

Thanks for the warm welcome guys :)

For anyone who has not heard of the Wagon before, there are two versions available - an auto with the engine from an VIII and a six speed manual with the Mivec engine.

Mine is the manual version.

It's basically a IX without AYC, they have LSD's front and back.

Yeah, but officially it's called a GT.

"The Evolution 9 is also the first Evolution to be produced in GT trim. GT trim replaces the old RS2 and sits between the minimal RS and fully equipped GSR models."

were you at rally day last summer doing track time or woz it jap fest???

I was a Japfest but not in the Evo. Previous day had to give me bro a lift to Huddersfield to collect his TME, so used the Merc I had at the time. Was a long couple of days......Plymouth to Bracknell to Peterborough to Huddersfield, then back to Bracknell then Japfest and finally home.....in 48 hrs !
