Heater Problem :(

Here we go again lol

My heaters only blow out hot air, even when i have the temperature knob turned right down it still blows out hot (but the other 2 knobs work fine) and there is a coolant smell but no leaks from the engine bay..... any help would be much appriciated

If you didn't have bad luck you'd have no luck would ya.

I don't know what could be causing your problem but I'm sure somebody will be along to help soon.

I will keep my fingers crossed that it's an easy fix, along with your other problem, and that it's the last problem you're gonna come across, for a while anyway.

Not good! It couldd be a dodgy knob. Don't understand why there would be a coolant smell though. Are the front carpets wet at all?

I've done a bit of investigating and it seems that there is an adjustment rod somewhere in the drivers footwell that should move when you turn it from hot to cold, not sure where exactly it is but could be worth trying to find, I think you can also move it manually if you find it. It seems like they come loose now and again.

When you press the middle button the a/c lights up but still only hot air so im assuming it doesnt work.....

When you press the a/c button, do the revs drop slightly at all?

No, revs stay normal

a/c pump might not be working!! The revs normally drop slightly when you switch on
