Hi guys,

Mitsubishi Lancer 2.0 MR FQ-300 4dr

looking at going to view this, spoke to the garage on the phone and they have not got a clue about the mods on the car and gave me a story about how a DR came into the garage with money troubles and wanted to trade it in for their cheapest car and cash his way. The spec seems pretty serious, AP racing brake conversion, motec pump, bigger turbo etc running 440+ but seems to good to be true/dodgy?

Any thoughts/help would be greatly appreciated as you could save me a 3 hour car journey to view the car,

I can't see an MR badge on it.
The spoiler doesn't match MR spec.
Paperwork for all the upgrades and receipts from Steve Hill Motorsport. Unfortunately they've gone out of business or you could have rung to check.

Yeap I think it's a gsr. I believe MR comes with black headlights and a fin on each side of the roof?

Little update, spoke to the garage today, he said because i questioned the ad about the mods and explained the ECU probably wasnt £6k he said i wasnt the right owner for the car, i was calling him a liar, he wouldnt sell me the car and i should f*** off, needless to say im not gonna waste my time! Thanks for the input though guys

Tell me about it, they actually have a facebook page with bad reviews on saying they were aggressive/poor customer service, wish id looked before wasting my time! Shame though as the car could potentially be a real gem for the money!

i also rang about this car! the guy seemed a little bit of a TOSSER!
needless to say im still looking for a nice 8 and getting pretty frustrated just how many nails there are out there

Yeah i wouldnt bother mate ive made 6 calls now over 3 weeks and been shouted at, promised call backs and ignored, they seem like a bunch of cowboys to be honest.

no ridges in roof, wrong wheels, no mr badge (and other badges in wrong place) wrong dash inserts, spoiler sides not black, and these are just a few bits i noticed.

one thing i quickly realised when buying mine was that general car sales places dont have a clue about models, specs ect. one tried telling me a 7 was an 8. stick to owners forums or specialists imho
