Hi I've had my Evo7 for about 7 months now and heard a noise from my AYC pump so I have replaced it with an Evo9 pump when my mechanic fitted it he had told me that it had been put on totally wrong the pipes were in the wrong pipes it was just a mess so it wasn't working when I bought it The thing is now the handling is really bad and very twitchy is this because I'm not used to it or is there anything else I should be looking at.

can't really see that happening as he's well known around the evo scene. Is there any other ideas that it could be mate.

Cheers, for the messages guys. Just didn't know if it was just me not knowing how the handling should be, as it was on wrong aparantly before. It just didn't feel right it felt like when I went round a right hand bend for example at a constant speed the front wanted to turn more into the bend than I was turning and then it would want to adjust itself and the back end will feel like its stepping IN, It feels like your on a boat. Not good for the bum-ring!!! :( Hope this makes sense to all?? I have spoken to him and it's going to be checked over next week. So watch this space. Cheers again. :)

Yes from what I remember of my last vii it would turn in tighter at a constant speed but not enough to spit the back out. It's quite a smooth transition something you hardly notice.

Did you have Ayc lights on before ?

Its something thats deffinatly noticable, put it this way I wouldnt want to be going on a track with it this way. On the evo 7 it doesnt have an ayc light but it does have individual lights for gravel, snow & tarmac, the only light its ever been on is the one that has been selected which has been tarmac. so im assuming if there was an issue all lights would of come on. I was getting a noice from the ayc pump thats how I knew I had an issue so we replaced it.

When you switch the ignition on all 3 lights should come on together for a second or 2 then 2 of them should go out leaving on the one for the selected mode. Should be able to select different modes as well yes ??
