its been a sad day for me today ..

it was time to say good by to a old friend " well car i have had for years "

i know how sad am i , its only a car . but this car got me back on the road after a bad smash i had years ago . 1998 when a 75 year old woman over shot a t junction . nearly killing me , my ex , her kids and a friend kids .the old woman died 3 times and broke every bone down one side of her body but did survive .

dont take on a ople monza in a civic . ther will only be one winner

they took her licence away :O)

but its time to let go so good by .

she dont look much and didnt get used but was alway there as a reminder of how mortal we really are .

the young lad i sold it to is going to fit a s13 1.8 turbo engine to it and its not being scrapped :O)

another sad fact up till now i have always owned a viva since i started to drive 20 odd years ago . not always the same one but there has always been one around .

old school will alway rule ..

got sent this picture of my old viva getting a new lease of life from my mate " new owner "

1.8 16v turbo 200sx engine and 5sp box

planned mod's 550cc injectors
piggy back ecu
bigger turbo / top mount
3" exhaust and a front mount inter cooler
possibly a lsd rear diff if he can find a axle narrow enough ...


should be fun when its finished :O)

Glad she's getting some tlc, i couldn't bring myself to scrap a car seems a bit in humane lol, I'd rather give it away for someone to do what they like with it, as long as I never know what happens to it after it's gone, now that's sad lol !!

i know what you mean i told him i would rather buy it back than have him scrap it now thats sad :O)

and if i sell a car i never like working on them again even just for friends :O(

I had a viva 21 years ago. come to think of it speedo running across the dash, feel so old.
nice motor, sold it to my friend who just passed his test. on his way home he blew the engine. He said he forgot to change up the gear, hence pop the push rod.
