seem to be having a boost issue with my vxr. when its warmed up and I give it some, its hitting the correct boost (18psi) but after, when its been thrown around a bit and the engines hot, then it drops to15-16psi and hardly goes over that! any reason for this? car is also spitting minor oil out the exhaust :/

cheers
tom

Any smoke? How's it breathing? Where is your intake? Could it just be getting warm air instead of nice cool

cheers for the replies lads.

the car itself has a Ram air feed direct into the OEM box! so maybe it is cause its sucking in warm air. theres no smoke on start up but its de-catted, little bit of smoke comes out when booting it but this is normal?? as for the oil I just getting spats on my boot lid etc so im unsure if its water and carbon mixed together or its actually oil. either way its black!!! gonna check my oil levels when I get home. if it is loosing oil what is my problem?

Has it been remapped with all your mods?
You shouldn't get any smoke 'as normal'!!
It should be clean when you full throttle. Due to the increased temps. Alot higher than normal. You may find its affecting everything from boost level to afr levels. Basically it's over fuelling on wot due to the largely increased temps.

hi rob, the car has all mods re-mapped on a custom map. the car doesn't smoke when im on full throttle, just spits a tiny amount out for a split second when I floor it, then its clean and no smoke. hoping its the temps.....gonna wait tillthis weather dies off and have another go :D cheers for your help fellas
