in my eyes .....a reputable trader who can guarante his work mate


and I knoe some traders are also Gekks and use the sight but a warranty and a little peace of mind is good emough foe me !

What if you payed a reputable engine builder to forge your engine.... engine then blows.... parts found to have failed are the work they carried out but also damage other parts. Under warranty do they only change the parts they changed or other parts damaged ???? At there cost....

Well if a mapper blows your engine up due to a mistake while mapping then its his fault and he will pay .....well mine would !!

personally i feel if a trader mapped a car then it popped do you really think hed warranty a new engine ...........id say no

An engine can blow at anytime, so how do you prove it's the mappers fault or internal parts fault The only way you would have any feasable warranty is if the engine was built and mapped by the same person but then depends on what build it was, whether it was a full build or drop in

lol That is exactly what I'd do ... get them to pay up ...

However if it goes further you'd have to prove it was the mapping that caused it and not just part failiure

in my job which deals with Cummins engines, which are fitted in buses to boat to generators, if theres a failure we have to take a download of the calibration (map) which when logs faults records all peramteres when the fault occurs, so if ie the coolant is low or oil pressure is low for more than 3 mins warranty is void, i think the same should be applied to mapping, a download should be taken and examined

So if you know your cars sound and then just goes bang while mapping .....What would you do ?

Id be asking for answers and my mapper would give me the reason as coincidence is just that..

the laptop hes logging with will show all the answers

or you can view the tables after the run the car went pop on.

For example forgetting to reset boost level and person floors it and car goes pop......whos fault would that be ?
