could post if your willing to cover the charges for courier but would imagine it been quite expensive due to weight

Actually my IX box is a bit notchy (5 speed) so maybe something I would look at too. I'm not sure if a bit of fiddling and some good oil wouldn't sort mine out though.

What sort of price you looking at for a second hand box these days anyway?

Not sure mate, i'm learning myself. If mine proves to be buggered i want to know if worth swapping out or fixing :)

been reading up on gearboxes on other sites and and a common fault is the input or output shaft bearing that goes and causes the whining.

how bad is this and will it cost a fortune to fix?

IV boxes are a nightmare in any other model.

I suggest you try BoroBoy if the price is right or unless you can find someone cheaper elsewhere.

Have you tried John or Jamie???

It should be but you will need the Selectors and the Selector Bracket too.

It all boils down to the price at the end of the day buddy.

If you can get it reconditioned by someone reputable and the work is warranted then by all means go for it buddy.

Evo Parts Ltd has one for sale and it is a reconditioned unit with warranty which is kind of fairly priced as far as reconditioned boxes go so that is an option too.

Just way up the pro's and cons and take it from there.
