Gearbox Rebuild

This probably get asked a lot. Is it better to get the Gearbox rebuilt but what could be the max cost, or buy a 2nd box from a reputable person. I know its a gamble buying any 2nd stuff, but who knows the existing box could be in a even worst state.

Had mine done recently 225 labor to strip and put back together plus 60 quid a synchro and a few other bolts and bits. Apsley transmissions in Hertfordshire highly recommended
