Hello all,

Has anyone had any issues with their gearboxes when they get hot? Yesterday mine was struggling to go into gear after a brisk drive but has seemed ok since? I was a little worried at first, imagining the cost of a new box etc!

Oh no....iv just had mine repaired and bought another transfer box, just cost me £1350 in parts and oil! All good now tho thanks to gaz@cpp

First thing to do is change the oil, get some racing stuff in there and see how it goes.

If it doesn't cure it then it may need a refresh.

But start wth the oil

Got it ordered already, had what I thought was pretty decent oil in there. It seems ok at normal temps and I've heard that hot summer days can cause this I'm hopeing anyway! Are you on your third Transfer box now Andy?!

Yeah! Ha ha well it had on in when i bought it...that went wrong....then bought a second hand one which turned out to be shite.....now this one ha ha....all good now tho. ill come up soon when i get a minute

Glad it's all alright now! My gearbox seems to be ok now fortunatly but I'm waiting for top mounts to arrive and I can get the car on our new 2 poster lift!
