Gear box oil Evo 6

Hopefully changing my clutch this weekend and would like to do gear box aswell.

What do people recomend off the shelf ie motor factors/Halfords if there is any thing decent in that market?

Think halfords do castrol syntran which is what you can use off the shelf in the gearbox and transfer box.

Yea just over 3 litres
Make sure you have several goes at filling the transfer box cos you need to let it settle each time you put some in cos it takes ages to get in around the workings of it. Top it / leave it few minutes. Top it/ leave it a few minutes and repeat several times till you really can't get anymore in.

Ah right cheers again mate, yeah 2.8ltrs for the box and 0.6 for transfer box.

This should be more than adequate then, fully synthetic and gl4-gl5 rating, its made by Shell
