Dawes devices are manual boost controllers which are only recommended if being set up by a Pro like Jamie as they can have an adverse effect if not done properly.

A very cheap way of getting more output from the turbo without spending the money on an electronic device. Boost is restricted however to one setting only and fitting a boost gauge is a must in order to monitor the device.

They typically cost around £30+ for a device that has been made using quality components.

It only takes minutes to fit one of these too!

I do not like them personally but hey, I have one on my MR2:eek:

Yup, it's a bleed valve!

Are you nuts???

Keep the AVCR, it is an all in one device that will add more appeal to the car!!!

Is it already fitted or are you planning to install it yet?

SAFC?!*

Get shot of it on egay and go for an electronic device buddy!

If Jamie has a good device and you don't mind having one boost setting then go for it, up to you at the end of the day as to how you want to proceed really.

ditch the SAFC.......dirty bloody tool......lol (just messes with the maf signal to alter fueling) - a remap will control the fueling properly.

If you already have a avcr then keep it (unless you want to recoup some money)

A dawes device is NOT a bleed valve, it uses a ball and spring to control the boost pressure and in my opinion highly underated for most applications!
