Hiya troops,
Well after much deliberation i have decided to get myself an EVO X FQ 330 SST:wub: and trade in a Mazda RX8 R3 for it. Anyway after visiting my local Mitsi dealer and asking a few questions which they were not sure about i thought i would ask the experts on here, so here we go.....
1. Is it absoulutely imperative the EVO be ran on super unleaded. I do quite a bit of touring about in the north of Scotland and its not every garage that sells super unleaded, or do i need to carry some octane booster "just in case" if i did put ordinary fuel in would it damage the engine.
2. Ant idea of the service costs for major and minor services
3. How much is the road tax, cannot be any worse than the RX8 as its just gone up to £460:disgusted:
Thanks All
Mark

Hiya welcome along, pop a little hello up in the welcome bit so the guys know to say hello to u :)

As for fuel I run mine on V power or 99 (Yes tescos) believe it or not cos it's 99 I wouldn't run it on anything less cos the Japanese use 99 so if it's imported then best keep it to what's it's used to :)

Service wise just depends who u go to really, plus if it's a full or part service. I think fq performance are doing a 45,000 mile service for £499.00 plus vat. So depends on who u go with u can get it cheaper but my advice ask the guys on here who's best to go to that's in ur area :)

As for tax for me it's £224 Something like that a year :)

If its an import it needs to be run on 99 or remapped to run on lower octane, i think uk models should be safe to run on crap uk fuel.

It best run on shell vpower but if you use normall unleaded best not to put your foot down good idea to use octane booster with normal unleaded.
Servicing costs small oil change diff oils gearbox etc 250 - 300 pounds just engine oil 120 and cambelt including all oils 600 pounds. So there're a few different types of services all different prices depends on which one I always do all the oils 4500miles 250 300 pounds. Apart from cambelt done it last week no spark plugs didn't need them costs £600.
Road tax I think evo 10 450ish mate
