Hi all Just getting around to changing my front wheel hub (waiting on the nice weather lol) but have hit a snag at the first hurdle lol trying to get the hub nut off, but the damn thing wont move at all tried heating it till it was glowing and then standing on the breaker bar and still wont move, the option im looking at now is cutting it off (F**K:mad:) but cant find any where that sells replacement nut!!! So any clues who stocks these castle nuts??? plus what socket size is this nut ment to be 30mm wont fit and 32mm is a bit loose do i take it's a 31mm????

Many thanks Jay

You need to use an impact gun on it, will have it off in a couple of minutes that way. I take it you took the split pin out. lol

Do not cut it, just find someone with a good air or battery powered impact gun. According to the service manual it should be tightened to between 177 - 275 Nm.

If you end up cutting it off the only place to get another is either a breakers/scrappy or the stealers. It's prob not an item they keep in stock either.

EDIT: Part number is.... MB109029

As for size the Mitsubishi ASA/CAPS program says it's 22mm, but that must be the thread itself opposed to the actual nut.
