Front Bumper IV

Trying to take off me front bumper so i can remesh the bloody thing but the f*****G thing will not come off, ive undone all 6 under the number plate done the ones under the indictors and pushed the little plastic things underneth the main lights. undone the wheel arches and done the two bolts at the bottom of the rad also done the fine plastic screw on top/under bonnet.

But she still wont come off, the sides have come free but the front, under the number plate feels solid but i just cant seem to find any more bolts, pulling me hair out now feel like ripping the bloody thing off:twisted:

So if any body knows where im going wrong please tell will be totally gratefull:wub:

Ta mate, been at it for the last three hours, just had enough with it got the mesh ready but the bloody thing wont come off, god it's doin me head in now, promise i won't rip it off lol well not just yet haha

does the cross member have to come off, just been looking now and it seems the fogs light cradle is attached to the black cross member but i just cant seem to work out how that even comes off, this is weird and doin me head in now

Think you miss two bolts in the main frame.

Had a look mate but is differnet to mine, i've taken two bolts out of the fog lights and bumper seems looser but still solid in the centre, i can see three bolts behind the mesh but i would have to cutn the mesh to get to them....

there are 4 bolts in the chassis legs bud, 2 each side. thats all your missing to get it off

does the intercooler have to come to get to those coz i just cant seem to see any more bolts, also when the bumper comes off does the fog lights stay on the car???

You need to lay down under the car and look up and there are 2 bolts either side on the main chassis. If you need to cut the mesh how did the do the bolts up?

nah that stays there fella. jack the car up fairly high go under and you'll see them on the under side of the legs

fog light stay on, just unplug them.

If the fogs lights stay on the bumper, i take it that the top bumper reinforcement bar comes off with the bumper becasue the fog lights are attached to that and bottom of the bumper holding the little mesh vents on, if that the case i can understand why the bloody thing won't come off.

i've undone the fog lights so they are no longer attached to the bumper, if the top bar comes off with the bumper i can understand the way the big centre mesh is connected to the top bar and the bottom of the plastic bumper, i like to say as well this is the worse bumper i have ever tried to remove lol

sorry for some reason i missed these two posts, i think i understand now that the top reinforcement bar does come off with the bumper and the four bolts im missing are the ones that are keeping the top bar on the bloody car, if this is the case this is where im going wrong trying to remove the bumper from this rather than trying to undo the top bar, been a very long day now will try again tomoz haha just want nice clean and undented mesh, Evo gods must be really P****D at me today:whistling:

Yeah!!!!!!!!!!!!Got the bumper off at long last, what was throwing me off was thinking that the bumper come off the cross member, but the cross member comes off with the bumper (weird setup :wtf so undone the bolts for the cross member and the whole thing slid off at long last nearly lost it with it though:twisted: lol, so thanks to everyone that commented on this thread yesterday trying to guide me in the right way, it was grateully recieved:wub::wub::wub::wub:
