nice to have people on here to help when u have a problem,
not so nice when people try and rip you off !

bought a full engine in bits £1150

engine arrived looked great until we began to build

no thrust washer - phoned the seller he told me they were built into the crank
i knew they were not, went on to camskills site they were there, rang the seller
back he said he will sort it , (fancy starting an engine with no thrust washers)

next problem odd pistons, seller said it will be ok, till he came over and saw them, (would he put odd pistons in his engine ?)

other pistons came , but were damaged,

bought a USED complete clutch from seller, std exedy, which i gave him £100
and an OS GIKEN twin plate clutch (worth £1600 new) as a swop and money from me!

after fitting the clutch, I realised the ring was missing from the pressure plate, phoned seller, he said he will sort it, but he realised that he needed the fork and slave cylinder off the twin plate. I also needed a fork and slave cylinder for the clutch that I bought off the seller.
I contacted the seller weeks before christmas, told me he would sort it, part never arrived, ended up buying a new clutch from Camskills. Informed seller that the the old fork had been binned, as of no use to me, he said if you can't find it we will sort it, suggested we swap clutches back and he informed that the clutch had alredy been fitted,

he has now blocked me from leaving him a visitor message and told me he will now send the ring for the clutch and i can do what i want, which is useless

all i can say is when theres money being exchanged he,s your best friend

CHEERS EL !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well as you know Jason, there are always two sides to a story.

Firstly, I did not say it would be OK to put odd sized pistons into the block. Do you remember me coming round to your house the same day you called about the problem???
I do, it was because it was a 2 hour drive for me!!!

I came right round and inspected the pistons, apologised and took them away with a promise to get you a set of VIII Pistons which I did, even though you were adamant that you planned to put Universal Pistons in the block which were unheard of.

The Pistons (28k warranted mileage) were sent and somehow ended up with one looking like it had been hit with a hammer and a chisel. It looked very suspect to me as the damage to the box was in a different place compared to the damage on the piston BUT I still gave you a full refund.

Then we had the problem with you insisting I had sent you a Cradle from another block as you had it in your mind that if you could not get it to sit right and allow the Crank to turn, there must have been a royal balls up on my end.

Your theory that all Cradles have tally numbers to cross reference with those on the matching Block was just not right, which I told you several times and asked if you could bring the Block and Cradle round so that someone who know's what they are doing can have a go.

Finally, after asking all over the MLR, you decided to bring it round, it was A-OK and the crank was turning within 5 minutes or so.

So you ere so impressed that you decided to post up a THANK YOU VERY MUCH message on my Visitor Board. You do remember this right??? Or was I just imagining the whole thing???

As for the ring, when I asked if you still had the fork, you said you thought it might have been thrown out.

I immediately responded by telling you that it was no big deal as I would just have to modify the fork I had already had as the car was on the ramp.

I still asked if you would have a look for the fork and the clamp as I was planning to deliver some other parts to a member in Wrexham and would bring the ring in person.

In the end, I had to get in touch with you again to check if I should bring the ring or post it instead.

The reply cam back only a few of days ago from you telling me that you had already bought another clutch.

I think you will actually find that what I have told you to do with the Clutch is:

Evo Owners Forum - View Profile: jasinuk34

I even sent you a PM with the return address earlier today so what exactly is the point of all this???

THE REASON I HAVE BARRED YOU FROM LEAVING VISITOR MESSAGES IS BECAUSE YOU KNOW HOW TO USE THE PM FACILITY AND YOU HAVE MY CONTACT NUMBER BUT STILL PERSIST ON TRYING TO HUMILIATE ME RATHER THAN TRY AND SORT OUT THE ISSUE.

I WOULD HAVE STILL LET YOU POST VISITOR MESSAGES RIGHT NOW AS I HAVE NOTHING TO HIDE BUT YOU DELETED YOUR THANK YOU MESSAGE IN ORDER TO PAINT A DIFFERENT PICTURE, PERHAPS TO GET PEOPLE ROUND TO YOUR WAY OF THINKING????

THANK YOU VERY MUCH JASON.

You have taught me that it is best to leave those with a minimal budget with their Evo's in the driveway on axle stands, rather than help them out and get shot in the ass for it.

I offered but it was the best deal that was available to him, in his opinion.

His dad has experience in building engines so it was a bit of a mini project more than anything else I think.

He has just called me and we have resolved the issue.

The fact that I have been off line for a few weeks and a couple of other things did not help matters much.

Like I said to him earlier, I don't blame him or bare any grudges for posting this Thread up as I understand where he is coming from and the frustration of having to put up with me, God know's how my wife has done it for so long.

I suggested he send the Clutch back for a refund before this Thread was posted anyway, but never mind.

It is sorted out now Jason but members will want to add their own thoughts, that is the point of a Forum and it is unavoidale.

It happens Jonny, some people cant afford to have a fresh build stock Tommi block, especially when they are competent or can get it done with a little help. He saved quite a bit of money in the process too.

I was rinsed out by Raufy and T when I did the deal and they told me that it would blow up in my face sooner or later.

I just wanted to help out and we both agreed that it was a good deal.

The only real issue was the fact that I had not supplied the ring for the Clutch which is what he is trying to get across.

Kind of seems to me that ya just trying to tarnish els rep pal. If he offered ya a refund already and it was offered before this thread was posted then why did ya have to post this thread up?

I been dealing with him for some time now and i gotta say that i'm shocked to say the least. Leaves me wondering what ya motives are specially if ya sending visitor messages when ya can just as easily private message or make a phone call!

Did ya know that private messages are instant notification and visitor messages are only visible if you log in? Not surprising there that ya never got fat enough responses.

I also gotta agree with Martin and Steve on this one, it makes ya look bad for no reason at all pal as el is a great bloke and he even defending ya on here while others are having a go at ya:whistling:

If ya knew him like some of us do ya would know already that he aint about the money, he likes to help out as thats his nature. He gives freebies out here and there and not cheap stuff either so hardly a money man over help i reckon.

Ya offered your opinion so whats wrong with others offering theirs?

It blatantly shows on ya home page that ya was asked about it well before this thread was posted and still says on your home page that you are offered a refund at 10:15am but ya still posted up this thread at 4:14pm so if ya think this thread got ya a refund then ya must be smoking something i reckon.

What do ya mean about not upsetting some 1? Ya trying the hard man technique?

This is a public forum and we ALL entitled to our opinions too.

I assume your on his xmas card list? as you say we all have our opinion, and that's what your's is, an opinion. When you've been waiting six weeks to get something sorted you tend to get a bit pissed.

I've read in this thread that El asked you if he should deliver the part to you or post it and you didn't reply! Then you came back with you've bought a clutch. How can you have a go at someone if you don't reply?

I can vouch for El and I'm not on his xmas card list! :)

He's very helpful and will try and get to the bottom of any mechanical problem any of us on here have.

There's quite a lot of members on here now and everyone that knows him, will tell you how good and helpful he is. He's not out to rob anyone!!
