Hi
Don't know if anyone will be able to help, I have an 2004 Evo 8 FQ330. One of the xenon headlights is flickering. Can anyone tell me if this would be the bulb of the HD controller unit?

Think if it was the bulb it would just not work full stop.

Sounds just like a dodgy connection. Worth giving the connections a fiddle to start with mate.

Yer to be honest I would say its probably not the bulb. It could be the controler or it could be a connector. Connections are easier and cheaper to look at first ;)

i would be tempted to say a loose connection. anywhere from the bulb itself back through to the controller.or wiring loom to it. is is when stationary or just when drivin due to vibration. if the HID pack had problems it would just fail rather than flicker. if u have a multi meter get checkin!!

yeah i would also say it is a conection as HID's dont suffer from vibration related problems like normal filament bulbs do due to there design (I sell hid gear to the mines for this reason)
it will just be a dodgy conection but make sure you get it sorted quick smart as the constant on off of the light will cause the wiring to get extremely hot to to the constant inrush of current that it takes to light a HID and hot wiring can get very dangerous to your vehicle
