Flaming Exhaust

Hi all
Just swapped my Blitz Nurspec for a Magnex so I can go on a track. The magnex has a spark plug located near the back box. I assume this is to shoot flames out the back by igniting spent fuel. Sounds like fun.
Does anyone know how to wire these up.

You need to fit a spark plug into the tailpipe then a plug lead from there to an ignition coil (old style) in the boot then a switch in the car to turn it on and off. Mate of mine bought an Evo with one fitted but although the plug was sparking it never once produced a flame.

Wiring wise I'd say buy a kit as it will come with everything needed but as with my mates i won't expect it to work.

Could be that spark plug was in wrong position but your guess is as good as mine.

The switch should be connected up to a controller to cut the ignition from one plug so it just keeps throwing fuel through, it then fires the plug in the exhaust at the same time to light the unburnt fuel creating the flame.

A mate fitted one to a pug 106 a few weeks ago.

You need a firing module as well, one based on a 555 chip to fire the ground circuit in the coil which will cause a spark. You also dont need to connect it to your ignition system, its a turbo charged engine and will dump fuel down the exhaust on over run after WOT, only shitty chav wank wagons have flamer kits. It's not as simple as just turning on a coil. Don't bother with it, inevitably it will cause issues.
