Water change can be a mission!

Hell yea it was ! I had to go to dobbies to get the RO - ( I think it's called ) water, in the big water container thingys fortunately they did the mixed 50/50 so it was the right amount of salt going in each time lol, but the pain was emptying it and refilling the damn thing up :(

Yea yea

They are relaxing though, especially with the blue light on, makes it look funky :)

Mine's a mission to do as it's up on a bookshelf and I usually drop quite a bit of water over the shelf and sometimes on the carpet! oops :)
Cleaning it can be a pain because the gravel vac plays games and I can't see where or what I'm cleaning. Nearly vacuumed one of the fish other day! lol

Done the water change ytesterday and pointed the filter in the right direction and we have bubbles again (air for the fish). They were hovering around the top of the tank and I wondered why for a bit. The filter was moved when cleaning the previous time.

I should get the kids to clean the tank and do water changes but they'll probably make a right mess!!

Some pics of my tanks - there are a bit out of date but close enough.

First off - the discus tank - these have grown a lot since the photos!

And the severum tank - these have also grown since this photo!

And this is catfish - who lives in the severum tank - he was bought as one species of Synodontis catfish but quickly grew bigger than the maximum size and turned out to be a Synodontis notatus which grow to 12" which is what he is now :wtf:

**EDIT** I'll try and take some more recent phots as I've just noticed we've moved since these were taken and that was nearly 3 years ago

years ago i had a 6ft tank fully loaded with fish but ive got no pics of it sorry.ive not had any since then but it does take some time to sort out and after your cycle you need some hardy fish to start off with and work your way up
