if you get a hand held i would say footwell, that where i have mine

you can spend silly money on these and there are all different manner if types and make, you can get a lifeline for example for around £80 (1.75ltr),personally i just bought one off ebay for less than £20, comes with bracket to fix to car and just does what it says on the tin.

one word of advice, make sure you fit it so that the passengers feet cant set the extinguisher off.... i learned that lesson the hard way:razz:

mine was just a 1kg actually, there about £8 and more than sufficient if you think what it will be used for

doddle, drill 2 holes through floor, pop bolt through hole, put nut on bottom and tighten up, bobs your uncle

Here is the location of my plummed in Extinguisher in the passenger footwell.
One nozzel goes into the engine bay (near the fuel rail) and the other points at the driver around the leg area.
