I am just wondering if anyone knows the diameter of the air intake needed for the 8 fq. I have 2 maf adaptors (dnt no what size) and last night I impulse bought (eBay too addictive) a hks reloaded mushroom with 85mm inlet pipe just under 3.5 inch is this the right size to feed the car air to be fair I managed to nab it last seconds for 13 quid so no love lost if its wrong I'll flog it for more but it's 200mm outside size

They need to fit your adapters so only you can tell us that :)

Well the adaptor is irrelevant as I have found already I put a filter on and it just couldnt feed the car enough air, I wanted to know if the filter I have got is the right size. It's ok if you don't know lee someone else might

Pass, I have looked on the net but can't find the info, I just cant be bothered to pull the car apart and measure it so I'll just try and fit it when it arrives and go from there. Cheers mate

You could run no filter and have the same effect as the hks ;)

Was it an old pipercross filter? No better than the hks then lol..got one of the new ones and it seems good..thicker sponge than the hks so it actually stops dirt getting though..

Haha that don't sound much good

The reloaded is said to be better :) and my evo came with the hks on it. They let a lot of air in but also dirt, can see it in the intake pipe.. Not really ideal and the cold air feed didn't help lol.

Did you buy it new??
