Fault codes Evo 7

Can someone help me. I am trying to sort out a problem with my evo 7. I am tyring to read the fault codes but can not get engine management light to come on when i short out pins 1&4. Abs & ayc lights come on?

Yes it does.

Got a similar problem with the 7 engine management light has come on and just stays on don't have a clue why car drives spot on

Ok so the light works lol. I would suggest getting a diagnostic on it rather than shorting pins 1+4. Or you may be shorting the wrong pins :-( Diagnostic reader or a mapper with a tactrix cable and evoscan

An idea might be to disconnect battery for few minutes so it wipes all fault codes on ecu. Then reconnect and drive the car again to see if the fault shows itself. As once you have a fault it stays stored on the ecu even if it clears itself physically. So if you change a faulty sensor for new, the code would stay on the ecu and show up still...
