Hi Guys hope you all had a good crimbo! My recently purchased evo7 has started to make the classic whistling sound normally associated withthe fan belt! Does anyone know how much this should cost and if it is a fairly simple job? Any help would be massively appreciated!

Many Thanks!

Sounds good to me! I have just got a quote for £150 fitted, that was with mitsubishi parts. I knew this was expensive but what is more realistic? Thanks mate

probably about £20-£30 for a gates belt which is a highly recomended belt.

and probably take 20 mins to change.

if you went to mitsi then they prob just put it down as an hour job. including car in the air etc

Gates supply the oem cam lets to Mitsubishi so £150 sounds crazy. Easy enough to fit just got to get a long crack bar on the tensioner

DIRTMATT- Yeah it sounded crazy to me too mate, however it was not from mitsi, it was a quote from APB motorsport, they said that they were using genuine mitsi parts.

Its the labour charge on top that's doing it.
If your handy with a spanner then do it yourself :)
