No faults what so ever stored in the ecu. I clean the old throttle body thinking it was just that and made no difference so a got a new throttle thinking it may be the stepper motor, no change again once changed. That's why I decided to get evo scan and see what isn't giving a proper reading.
If its not fluctuating wildly then I wouldn't worry. Don't forget the car is 15 years old and could have several things not perfect on it causing the issue. Leaky seals, cracked components, faulty electronics, etc
No pretty much standard, just got exhaust, filter and recirc upgrades. It's not so much the uneven idling it's the part where the revs pick up or drop and ya just know something somewhere is breaking down. Wish it would just pack up all together it would be alot easier to find then lol
If you can log see if you can monitor from cold, engine speed, airflow hz, coolant temp, O2 sensor, STFT, fuel trim low etc, let it get up to temp from cold and post up the log, see if you can get it to play up
right mate, managed to get a log from cold up to running temp. also did another reset on base idle and found when stepper is parked and revs at 850 after you re engage the stepper and reset ecu and run learning mode the revs sit at around 1200 to 1350 and dont drop again.
yeah thats what makes it sound so bad, cos the exhaust is pretty load ya can here everything. with looking at that log i'd say injectors are getting ready.
something else it does but i doubt its related is, sometimes it will boost to 1.5 and hit the limiter. i've changed the actuator as suggested by others but it still does it every so often, its almost as though one minute it runs as i think it should and the next it goes like buggery and feels a hell of alot faster. or is that my lead shoes lmao.
