Evo8 MR FQ340 Dump valve Questions

Hi every one

Just about to get hold of a mint unfettled MR FQ340, only mod is a HKS super Power Flow air filter.

I used to have an import MR2 rev2 Turbo and loved the HKS SSQV dump valve I bought for it. I loved the precise tish when releasing the throttle.

Is this available in the UK for the Evo8 MR FQ340, and are there any complications?

And if there are any compilation videos to compare other vent to atmosphere dump valves out there please share the links with me, many thanks

It's the one I have on my 9 and seems to do the trick, although mine was knackered and has recenty been replaced with a used one.

Lots available though, some mega loud like the turbosmart dualport but it is pricey!

I'm sure others will post what they have too

I have a ssqv3 on my 8 and I had one on my old gt4's as well they can give issues with the evo, if its still on maf. Can have idle issues when slowing down, some stall. Get the odd dip in revs at mine now and again but nothing much.

Recirculating are a better option with the maf in but it all comes down to preference.

It's still stock so would say if its MAF as stock then that's what it will be. I don't plan on changing much with this one. Just dump valve, intake exhaust and alloys. I have another car that's my track toy.

So do these turbo smart duel port ones, are they pretty good and stop the stalling issues?
