Evo8 head on Evo5 block...heater core lines

So I'm in the states with an Evo5. Car had a cracked head and 4-6 parts are not very common here so I used a USDM 8 head. everything worked fine but the 8 head does not have the coolant port under the intake near the CAS for the heater core and I was wondering if anyone else had come across this and what your solution was.
