Evo1 400bhp

Hi I have owned my Evo1 for about 7 or 8 years now after buying it from Japan. It came with a good few bits at the time. When I got it on the rolling road it was running 300bhp, But blew the first engine not long after owning it. Since then it has went through a few more


Then i installed a Autronic ECU then maxed out at fuelling at 310bhp and boost at 1.2 bar few pistons gave up then


1000cc ictorianises,, fuel pump, fuel pressure reg, I have now got around to getting the engine fully forged full head work done including HKS over size valves by Westward engineering also I have HKS cams and pulleys.It was then running 400bhp and 380 torque on the rolling road and more to go with the addition of a external wastegate hope to get this soon.

I decided to do a full Evo5 Brembo upgrade including servo and master cylinders this is one of the biggest jobs I undertook on the car after going to the Nurburgring and getting break fade half way around the track While doing the Brembos I said ill do the full poly bushing kit all around,drop links, sway bars, underbody seal while in there

This has being a long project and I still have a few things I would like to do. At times this car has had me a broken man I have done all of the work on this car with the help from a few good friends and we have learned a lot from getting stuck in and reading a lot of comments on forums like this.

I have a lot of pictures from over the years of all the work that we have done on this will get a good long post up someone might be interested.

Very nice Not many early evos out there, especially running 400 horses. IMO looks better with enkei wrc tarmac wheels (first pic)

The enkei wheels deffo looked better only prob was the 5 stud hubs after upgrading to brembos.
