Evo VI GSR Slow Rolling Project

Well on the 10/09/13 i picked up my first ever Evo a VI GSR with a nice set of mods to keep me going.. 94k on the clock.. Relatively good condition just needs a bit of body work love over time.. Imported to the UK in 2006 and had 3 owners since and me being the 4th.. Unfortunately when i bought it the car had some issues which really got me down luckily i have just finishing sorting most of these and will list below

Spec as follows -

7 Engine (Previous owner)
7 Turbo (Previous owner)
8 FMIC (Previous owner)
3" Turbo back exhaust including turbo elbow. (Previous owner)
Silicone intercooler hoses and coolant hoses. (Previous owner)
20G Billet wheel TD05 Turbo (Myself 21/10/13)
Tubular Stainless Steel manifold (Previous owner)
Walbro 255lph Fuel Pump (Previous owner)
HSD Coilovers (Myself 23/10/13)
Greddy Profec B Spec II electronic boost controller (Myself 23/10/13)

Defects upon purchase

Suffered from the Evo 6 my gearbox is really bad so im going to eat my own bearing issue.. I removed and stripped the gearbox down my self and inspected all the synchros and gears etc and had the bearing replaced with an uprated version all for the sum total of £88 including bearing, sealant and Millers CRX 75/90 oil.. Joys of attempting jobs yourself and having mechanic friends

Also the turbo was dead upon arrival on the car so i was recommended a turbo rebuilders near by called Bernie Blowers who rebuild the turbo for me with all new seals, bearings and a new shaft as my one was snapped (Due to over boost from previous owners according to my turbo builder).. Also whilst it was getting rebuild i had a 20G Billet compressor wheel fitted which should flow more air and be better for spooling..

My next plans are to fit all new vac hoses which new ones i have on order..

Get it mapped by a local tuner..

Need some JCS hi-grip boost hose clips..

Want to move the battery to the boot to create a bit more engine bay space which i will do next pay day and then do an oil change and get the ayc serviced.

Got to be done mate was quoted £750 to get the bearing changed in the gearbox I don't have that money just laying around lol it's all fun

Thank you I love wrc and rally in general and this was one of my dream cars.. Want some rally bits for it.. The tom mak front bumper is the same as the wrc one isn't it ? Also I need to underseal and sort some rust before my aero mods next year
