evo v no boost

just bought an evo and its driving fine no missfires no lights on dash just has no power( cant feel the turbo coming in),basically feels flat,is it possible that the actuactor could be turned right down, i no nothing about evo and havent had time to have a look as yet,any common probs? any help gratefully recieved

Could be a boost leak. They run at 0.8 bar standard and if it's leakin could be dropped to 0.4/5 so you won't hardly feel the pull, do a boost leak test

newcastle mate .0.8 bar standard whats that in psi about 7 or 8 psi,maybe i am just expecting to much never drove an evo till now it drives spot on no missfires etc maybe just the fact its standard boost

correct me if im wrong but 0.8 bar is 11-12psi you should notice the turbo at standard psi.

i thought 6's boosted at 1.2 standard and it was just the 4's at 0.8?

check that your pipes from turbo to boost solinoid are connected correctly, as ive seen it where they've taken after market one off, and then connected back up wrong to standard one or just joined pipes together

ok thanks mate will do ,will give them a once over,can i link the turbo outlet to the actuator and just be easy on the loud pedal, really dont no what the evo set up is till tommorow when i have look wont be able to sleep lol

Stock boost depends on the model, some of the 8-9 fq's boost to 1.3bar in stock form, the actuator runs 0.8bar, it's its lose or the spring has knackered then you may not be making much positive boost and would as said feel very sluggish

hi and thanks for everyones help,it is the actuator its a forge one water been getting in spring snapped and punctured the diaphram i have ordered the service kit so be fixed soon,thanks again
