Evo IV

Hey guys just bought an evo IV 2 weeks ago and just had a question maybe someone might know. When I'm boosting through the gears the power seems to stop at 4500 rpm. I can't remember if this happened when I first bought it. Just something doesn't feel right. Is this normal or am I just being paranoid. Loving the car though absolute animal. Apparently there's a bit of work done to it. I think it was mapped cause the boost gauge tells me it's boosting at 1.2 bar. Now I'm not that we'll tuned into evos yet so forgive me guys for sounding stupid. Thanx

Could be a number of things

Does it stop revving at 4.5k or does It not pull as hard, but still rev?

Best, but least favourite bet is find your local well respected tuner and let them have a look over it. Hard to do when, like me, you like to maybe have a tinker yourself.

It keeps reving but if feels like the turbo stopped

Have you noticed if the boost drops off at that point?

If it does it could be a boost leak.

Could also be fuel/boost cut as I'm not sure that the IV ecu is mappable so other measure could have been taken to raise it to 1.2 bar

You need some of the IV boys to join in

Thanx for your help. The guy told me it was an evi v engine. Tbh I don't have a clue. The cars runs perfectly apart from that.never really looked to see if the boost drops off. It's one of them electronic turbo timers and boost gauge . It only tells you after what it was boosting at.. Fcuk I'm a wazzok
