evo iv front bumper

hi, i am trying to get the front bumper off to re-do the mesh, there is a few tricky little fixings under the number plate which are allan heads,and all but 1 have perished when i tried to loosen them,any suggestions for the best way to get them off? cheers.

Hi, i think I was once in the same boat as you roughly a year or to ago.
The way I got them off, "if it's the same Allen screws where on about" was I used loads wd40 and gripped the with some visegrips from around the Allen key head!

Drilling them out may be the best option as I suspect that Spares24-7 was looking to sell the bumper on in as mint condition as possible, hence the careful approach.

Drilling them out will only mean having to use M8 screws which are not going to be an issue at all considering that they will be covered by the Registration Plate when done.

thanx lads,i tride the vice grips but couldnt get them on,,probably a smaller pair would do,the drill looks like the job, i am having a tea, then i am getting in2 it.

wel,drilled them out,but,i spent 3hours and cant get the bumper off,,lights are off,and its loosened at iether side,seems to be getting held on in behind the fog lamps somhow,but not much room to work.not as easy as i thought.and theres a metalplate behind the grille that holds the mesh down,but i cant do anything with that iether, ive gave up for today because im pisst off.goin 2 see if theres a way without taking bumper off.tomorrows a new day.
