Well, went to Keith Michaels insurance for me policy and what a pleasant surprise. £485 fully comp for me and the missus.

Spec being : me - no crashes/claims in 20+ years (old codger at 42)
Me missus (young codger at 30) : Handbrake slipped off a notch last year and the motor stopped a bollard from moving

£500 excess

Not bad I think.

Ive a Civic type R on the road and pay £950 and 250 excess for just me at 22 which id say is a bargain.

No mods on it (apart from the superstar driver )
I think they will be hard pushed to beat that quote. Only one years no claims (no claims but been on other peoples insurance, the rally car only and then 1 year with proper insurance).
I tried pretty much all the smaller ones, comparison sites and specialists and most were well over 1k.
Ill give em a try next time though.

With one years NCB, 21 and a bad area you really are going to struggle.
Im going to say £3k with the NCB if your lucky.

Should have checked it out before buying! On the plus side, Ill offer you £2k for your TME
