Very similar but the Talon has it's slightly older brother under the hood.
The Evo engine was a new concept, hence the Evolution title or Ebolution as the Japs call it.
The majority of the Talon engines were in the rarest of the rare imports mostly sent to the States and a very small amount for the JDM. That particular engine was and is in the Galant as well as the 1.8 GSR's.
I used to have a very rare Mitsubishi Cyborg RS which was a 1.8 AWD Rally spec with the Talon engine.
There have only ever been less then a hand full imported into the UK. Basically they are the old shape colt (H reg) with a to die for body kit and power that is raw.
Huge mods are available for them (Talon engines) from the States and they can easily push out 400 horses with no problems.
Get some pics posted in the non Evo section and make sure there are some of the engine bay pleeease.

my mate (bloke i spoke to who knows my gfs brother inlaws friend lol) rekons he got same engine in his, his is an american import talon and yes hes got his running at over 400bhp, not quite sure wot mods he got apart from an intercooler thats the size of a barg!
i thought i would get a good thread out of this coz he sed bout the crank pulley and that one off a talon would fit??? so on that im intreeged (spell checker anyone) as parts for the talon are cheap as chips even wen u have to import them from the states!!
