Had to go out in the snow tonight to rescue my dad who's stupid tin pot astra couldn't make it up to get across the mendip hills due to snow.
What would normally take around 30mins to do the round trip took nearly 3hrs.
All the mocking I did about evos running silly standard wheels and budget tyres I'm taking back cos after swapping my advans with 255 wide low treaded for a set of standard evo 5 wheels with Mohawk tyres on I had ne found grip so yes, evo was off to the rescue
Picture of snow and wheels fitted

Then I got the call so off we went. Hills were no problem, even had the opportunity to blip the throttle a few times while going past stricken cars
But once we'd trekked across the hills we were greatest with traffic so decided after we'd collected my dad that we would avoid the main roads which were chocker with cars backed up cos of the blocked roads and take to the single track country lanes. Snow so deep in the middle that my splitter was scraping the top off it and flinging it up on the bonnet lol. Hence to say the cooler and Infact the whole are dam in front bumper was full with snow.
Once home I was gonna take a picture but just as I reached for camera the snow fell out lol
So evo 4wd and skinny budget tyres rule

We climbed a monster hill that seemed never ending. Following what few tracks there
