evo cut out.

i have a mitsubishi evo 4 imported from japan and having a little problem,it seems that when ever i put my foot flat down and then release my power completely go's and the car dies it does normally come back on when i have turned the ignition but not sure what the problem is.can anyone tell me why this is and what i need to fix?

Do you have a dump valve on??? A load of people just put them on without a map but the Evo doesn like them

Do you have an evoscan or muc II scan tool? Do you know how to bridge the wires to see if any fault codes come up?

join pins one and four with a piece of wire, pin one is top left , pin four is to the right fourth on top as you look at your pic .long flashes are tens and short flashes are units, steady flashes no error codes. To reset the ECU afterwards, just disconnect the battery for 10 seconds.

Could be in the ecu or a sensor or bov

No dv may be your problem...
Any boost leaks?
Has the battery been disconnected?
What do you meen by power goes, is this while driving or stationary?

the power cuts out whilst im driving and i dont think its boosting properly im looking at changing my turbo actuator,will this help the boost?
