hey folks looking to buy a crank,rod and pistons for my evo 4.just wondering if anybody could help me out or point me in good direction for a good website or if anyone has stuff on here.cheers:D

Wouldn't bother with later rods and pistons if ur going to build an engine do it once and do it right go forged and don't cut corners
The only thing I would reuse out of a later Evo is a good condition crank with proof of no fractures or cracks
Take it from someone who has rebuild 3 times for that reason

hey thanks for getting back and what crank have you finally used if youve done it 3 times?im just new with this evo and want to do it right so hopefully will get forged,do you no of any good sites?cheers

Extreme psi but if u got to someone like indigo or Steve hill
I used a 8 crank as they have been proven to 400+ easy

orite i will try them,been keepin an eye on ebay aswell but cant seem to find anything and in desperate need haha cheers for your advice tho.

I'd ditch the 4 block personally if you want high power, it'll be more susseptable to crank walk.

Was gonna say the same thing but you get your head bitten off by the 1 or 2 Evo 4 owners who haven't had crank walk who argue they are strong engines lol

Its not the strength I doubt, its the fact the design is poor on the bearings.

Ok cheers for lettin me no was gonna try the stroker kit but can't afford just now so will try defo get a later crank cheers

Also seen a Evo 4 forged engine on eBay for a bag of sand,what would you guys think of that?its done 18k

Don't wast your money on a 4 engine, go for a 5 onwards :)

What you think like I was gonna get new crank,rods piston and cams hopefully forged?and it's tryin to get a good decent 5 upwards engine that's close!any ideas?
